Синопсис:
Фильм «Галактический экспресс 999» за основу берет большую мангу Мацумото Лэйдзи — поклонника фантастики, меха и вообще всего космического. Его оригинальная история собрана из небольших глав, рассказывающих о пареньке Тэцуро, который, желая отомстить гадкому и вредному злодею, пересекает целую галактику. Проделывая свое путешествие, Тэцуро попадает в разные приключения на разных планетах, где знакомится с подводными людьми, людьми-насекомыми, говорящими динозаврами и прочей публикой. Планеты также различны: планета в стиле 20-ого века, планета вечного лета и планета вечной зимы, золотая планета и планета непрекращающихся землетрясений.
