Today I received a rather large and mysterious package from Russia. Moe and my HoiHois decided to help me open it. (btw in this first picture you can also see my “massive” gaming setup)
The HoiHois cutting it open.
After opining it I learned that it contained four wrapped presents and a letter explaining that this is a (late) Christmas/ New year present from usagi_joou it also enplanes what the Russian things are. Now I was already having a bit of fun while opining the box so this made opining the rest even funner. :)
Now on to the gifts themselves...
The first gift was an EX:Ride Minibike!
I must admit that I’ve been meaning to get more of these but actual figures come first and I cancel these. The quality on this one is much better then on the scooter (only other one I have) it even has reflective stickers for the rear view mirrors.
More pictures.
The second gift was a set of Soviet advertising posters!
I'm always fascinated by old advertisements like these back when they were art instead of the quickly photoshopped crap of today and the unusual forms (at least to me) of Russian writing always looks interesting to me. I couldn’t think of a good way to photograph them so I only took a picture of the one.
The third gift is Russian sweets!
I have no idea how to describe these the letter says that they are “pomadka” and says that its some sort of curd or fudge. Googling it gives me no information but I can tell you that it is quite delicious.
And the forth and final gift is an Illustration of Shelf mascot Leila by Usagi herself!
キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━!!!!! Amazing! I had no idea that you were such a good artist! This drawing is wonderful!
Thank you for these wonderful gifts! You put so much thought into them sadly I don’t have anything to give you so I hope my thanks is enough. These really cheered me up! :D
