JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of the few shows that isn't being simulcast This anime season. But surprisingly, there are quite a few fansub groups subbing the the show despite it's seemingly small fanbase. I thought I'd share my opinion on each group so far. For comparison I am using the iconic "Speedwagon withdraws coolly" scene so you can see how each group interprets this "legendary" moment.
Muda Muda Muda [MMM]
Perhaps my favorite so far, They are a group of JoJo fans who want to sub the anime as best as possible. My only problem with them is that the subtitles are a bit on the small side for me.
edit- It seems that MMM is made up of people form Over-Time and KITsubs (Tokusatsu sub groups) MMM has a very Over-Time like feel to it (the way they translated this phrase is a good example) so if you like their style I'd definitely go with this group.
Nutbladder [Nutbladder]
The only thing Nutbladder really has going for it is that they are the first to release a subbed version of an episode. They have problems with timing, spelling and altogether missing dialogue. (but they did get this one line right)
gg Fansubs [gg]
I only downloaded them to compare them to the others. The main complaint with them seems to be that they have added a lot of British slang to fit in with the shows setting (witch is why I never bothered with them) Also judging from this episode they seem to have the worst video quality.
CommieSubs [Commie]
They seem generally pretty good, the main advantage of them is they seem to be the only group translating the manga style sound effects. The video quality seems to be similar to gg.
Get Back Subs [GetBack]
Another group of JoJo fans, they seem decent but are really slow. I should point out that the one episode they released cased my video player to crash.
DUWANG [DUWANG]
A joke sub group, essentially a parody of the infamously bad scanlations of the forth part of the manga.
