Ed Phoenix - (Aster Phoenix in NA localisation) is a talented duelist who enters Duel Academy during the second season. When he was young, his father was mysteriously killed (kidnapped in the dub) and he was taken in by Sartorius, being used as a pawn in his plans. Similar to Judai's Elemental Hero deck, Ed uses a Destiny Heroes deck, symbollising his desire for vengeance.
