Earlier this week I received my Queen's Gate Spiral Chaos Limited game set. I thought I'd do an unboxing/ review of the figure.
Here is the box I'ts made out of a shiny/ holographic material much like a rare pokemon card and gives the feeling of a fancy limited set. Also of note Marron seems to have a regular hand! (more on that when we get to the figure)
The set also included a small tote bag I guess this was a preorder bonus item (but this is the first I've herd of it) The bag is reversible, one side has the games logo and the other...
Has this Illustration...
And if you couldn't get enough of Alice and her "slime" upon opening the box you are greeted by this pass case. It's kind of neat when you squish it the slime moves around. however it seems to be warped. (I'm not sure if it got this way from the Florida heat of if their all just like this)
Here is the game Itself. The front.
The back.
And opened. I haven't yet played the game, but if it's like the first one I'll play it for a bit get tired of level grinding and then go back to playing Wipeout...
Here is the figure in Her plastic bubble. (I can't remember what these things are called)
And freed! Marron is a good Figma I really like her sculpt but Her paint is a bit sloppy (not to noticeable though) All her joints have an excellent range of movement despite that her clothing looks a bit restrictive and her parts swap to the alternate torso very easily (much easier than the previous QB Figma)
But the biggest flaw with this figure are the claws and how they attach. Essentially the claws peg into a central piece witch is held in place by a peg on her wrist. The pegs on the central piece are somewhat fragile, one of mine broke off (but thankfully gluing it back together fixed it) The wrist grads are held in place by the claws witch tends to make the claws to slide out a bit in some poses. Also she lacks regular hands (would it have been too much to include a single pair?) and due to the design of her wrists you can't use typical Figma hands you'd have to do a little customizing.
But despite these flaws she is a nice Figma if you don't mind the lack of hands and like her design you'd probably enjoy her.
