Earlier last week I received my only other figure from last month Super Action Statue Rohan Kishibe. I took these pictures with my computer monitor as a backdrop again but I don't think it worked out quite as well as with Kurisu although I do like the "feel" of these pictures more then the usual backdrop pictures.
A little back story on Rohan for those unfamiliar with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Rohan is one of the main characters from part 4. He is a Mangaka with an eccentric personality who starts off as a villain but later befriends Koichi and joins the main cast. His stand power Heavens Door (named after the Bob Dylan song "Knockin' on Heaven's Door") allows him to literally read people like books. Also it is widely thought that he is a self insert of of the series creator Hirohiko Araki.
As for the figure He is really great it seems like Medicos keeps getting better with each release. The sculpt and pant are excellent but the real highlight here are his accessories. He includes his stand Heavens Door witch is a tiny but fully poseable figure around the size of a nendoroid petit.
He also includes the camera and notebook/ portfolio thing that he is always shown carrying around the string on the notebook is a real string witch is a nice touch.
He also has a Manga page and a pen to draw it with. The page is based on this scene.
But the smallest addition (but perhaps my favorite) is that he includes all the hand gestures for rock paper scissors. From one of my favorite battles from the series witch was an over the top game of rock paper scissors.
I'm very happy with Him He finishes out the main cast nicely. Now I can only hope I can afford the statue legend figures to finish out the cast.
