Little Shadow Review

Little Shadow Review
29 окт 2010 01:10:25

Yay! I finally got around to writing another review my goal is to try to make one for every Friday (or at least weekly). I just got my Little Shadow figure this week witch helped me get into the mood to write.

Little Shadow comes from Ashley Wood's Adventure Kartel series witch at the moment doesn't have a comic (but one is in the works) From what we know so far Little Shadow is Tommy's on-and-off-again girlfriend and her tag line describes her as “The three-thousand year old teenager”

Packaging 9/10
She comes in the smaller 3A box it's the perfect size for a 1/6 scale figure. It has a panting of her on the front and nicely designed text along the sides. She is held in place with a plastic tray with no twist ties.

Sculpting 10/10
The sculpted portions are all very nicely sculpted their is not a lot of detail but it matches up well with Ashley Wood's art style. Her head sculpt is simple and clean looking while her hands and shoes have more detail to them. Also it should be noted that her “chest” is different form the tomorrow queens it is smaller with less prominent nipples.(Although still very visible)

Paint 9/10
As far as I can tell the details are all very well done but its hard to tell because she is covered head to toe in ThreeA's signature weathering. It looks great but does seem a bit excessive. With leads me to my only compliant witch is that they have panted dirt in her eye, although its not as noticeable from a distance.

Articulation 6/10
She uses ThreeA's female body witch is designed more for looks than poseability. Her upper boy has all the articulation you'd expect from a 1/6 scale figure with dubble jointed elbows and a good range of motion from her shoulders. However her legs which already don't have a big range of motion are restricted further by her skinny jeans. Thankfully unlike the tomorrow queens I didn't have any problems with ankle joints breaking.

Outfit 9/10
Her outfit is essentially a girls version of Tommy's. It consists of the jeans I just mentioned they look good although the crotch is a bit bulky, a classy t-shirt with the phrase “Big Cock”, a hoodie witch is nicely tailored and the final piece of her of her outfit is her chucks. She also comes with a pair of heals witch are the same as the ones that come with the tomorrow queens.

Accessories 7/10
She doesn't come with much but whats here is great. Her main accessory's are her “Skullboom” witch is a bomb shaped like a skull and her shoulder bag which looks great and the tiny buckles even work. She also includes an alternate right hand in a fist and the extra feet, I don't particularly like how they look on her but it's always nice to get extras of these delicate joints. She also includes a poster of the box art with a short comic on the other side.

Price 9/10
At $80 USD including shipping shes a very nice deal for a 1/6 figure and especially one of this quality.

Overall 9/10
Little Shadow is a very nice figure with only a few problems (dirt in her eye lack of leg articulation) but these problems are easy to overlook. She's an excellent addition to the Adventure Kartel line and looks especially great alongside Tommy. (looks good on her own too)

As usual any thoughts or suggestions on the review are welcome.
