Are you guys ready for Snow Miku 2014? 
Because I clearly wasn't. I was overwhelmed even though I knew she would be spectacular.
But enough rambling, let me show her to you~

So... here's something interesting. Snow Miku '14 arrived in a box in a box in a box. Yes, exactly.
I the recieved huge cardboard box from the mailman and when I opened it there was another cardboard box inside, though it looked very nice and cute with the Snow Miku 2014 "book emblem" printed on it. Inside the fancy cardboard box was then the actual box containing the figure.
There's a reason for the double boxes though as Snow Miku '14's box is very special. It's shaped like her spell book and so it was probably stored in the cardboard box to ensure that it wouldn't be damaged. It's also easier to store away in the cardboard box, then you won't have to worry about damage at all.
The figure box also has a little nice touch as there is text on the inside of the cover that tells the story of Snow Miku and Hatsune Miku, and guess what! It's in English. That's pretty awesome because that means that companies like GSC are accepting the popularity of their products overseas and want to appeal to us more.

Like I said before, I was extremely overwhelmed. Snow Miku '14 comes with a lot of accessories and items. Nendoroids often come with extra limbs and small objects but Snow Miku '14 has so much... BIG stuff. And the overall of quality of the figure and accessories is amazing.

Looking closely at only the base figure her outfit seems simple enough with the details mostly covering her shirt hem and skirt, but it's accessories that really 'pop her up'.
She is wonderfully sculpted from top to bottom and she just gives you that special vibe... you know... she's just so incredibly lively and full of spark and wonder.
I'm a big fan of the overall look of Snow Miku '14's look and I was very happy when they announced the winner at the time, but now I'm even happier as I think they really succeeded in bringing the design faithfully to the Nendoroid form. The colors, the outfit, the expression, the twin tails and curly ribbons; everything just feels right and fits into place.

The big "book storage box" needs a special mention. I wasn't happy when they first announced as I thought it was unnecessary for people that already organized their figures (like me) as they never really release storage for the parts and I just thought it was a waste of money and space. I didn't let it stop me though and decided to get the figure.
Now I'm thinking how idiotic that was of me because... just, wow! The quality of the box is amazing. The texture and print on the outside makes it so that it's actually like a real book. If you'd put it in a bookshell with other books no-one would notice what it actually was.
Then when you open it there's a lid with a snowflake print that attaches to the cover with a magnet. The inside is padded with soft light blue fabric.
It's just so beautiful and professionally done. Also, if you don't want to keep your figure parts in it you can use it to store other things.
Like money, for example... shhhh.

Oh boy, I don't even know if I feel like counting down all the stuff that comes with her so I'll just mention the most interesting things.
Yukine, Snow Miku '14's magical companion came with her of course in Nendoroid Petit form. He has the typical Nendoroid Petit "floating" stand and looks overall cute and polished. No complaints, he's just adorable!
There are also two sets of cloaks, one flowing cloak with a hole for the stand and one draping shorter cloak with no hole that's meant to be worn by Miku when she's sitting. Then there's the huge magician hat with incredibly beautiful details like the snowflake and the transparent orb on the "tail" of the hat. Her transparent wand is also worth mentioning as it's amazing. It also comes with this thing you can slide on the wands to make the "magical sweeping motion". May I also mention that the squares look like regular Miku's floating space hair elastics. In addition to the book figure box and storage box there are of course... more books! And then there's the magical summoning circle which you can clip on to the Nendoroid stand. It's made out of transparent plastic like the one on the boxes and is very bendy and fragile though so be careful as I've already managed to scratch mine with the clip.
Also, shout out to the "determined" faceplate. It amuses me everytime.
I have one major complaint that falls against everything else that is so beautifully well done about this figure and that is the hands and arms I got which were pretty poorly painted. I don't have the patience to ask for replacements though and as the hands are so tiny and barely visible it falls short compared to the figures many advantages.
Overall, Snow Miku 2014 is a very polished and beautiful figure with amazing details and lots of fun accessories. She is definitely a great buy for anyone interested in Miku, Vocaloid, winter, snowflakes, magical girls are just beautifully crafted figures in general. If you've ordered her then I'm sure she'll bring you as much joy as she has brought to me.
