I'd probably would have started on this sooner. However, with a busy period involving a Rifftrax event in theaters, my niece turning two, and concern about a hurricane hitting my area, I haven't really gotten a chance to start writing the blog post until a couple days after I got the figure.
Well, it's October, and that means a new season of anime. When it comes to the Fall 2012 titles, the two main titles that I've been trying to watch are Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Hidamari Sketch X Honeycomb (well, those episodes after the two-episode school trip). However, I've been reading about the new anime based on the Busou Shinki figure line, and while there's a little bit of nervousness about the series ruining my own personal Busou Shinki storyline, after watching the first episode (and settling into the show's concept), it may not be a concern that I thought it would be (although I'm more likely going to stick to just the two that I mentioned above).
At the same time, it also cause me to realize one thing: people will likely become interested in the Busou Shinki figures (and maybe we'll see more people cosplaying as characters from it) as a result of the anime. With that in mind, I actually visited the usual online figure sites that I check out regularly just to see what they have in stock. Not surprisingly, the figures are pretty much out of stock in the regular places that I check. However, when checking Hobby Search, I discovered that the site had re-stocked on one figure that I haven't picked up yet, the Nurse-type Shinki Bright Feather. Taking advantage of this, I ordered the last one that they had of it, and after waiting to see if it would indeed ship (or if I was too late, as it was immediately listed as sold out after I ordered my figure), it indeed shipped, with me receiving it this past Thursday (with me being able to take photos of it before I went to the Rifftrax event).
As usual, here's my photos of the latest addition in my Busou Shinki collection.

My main pose for Bright Feather. A couple of notes here:
1. I originally wanted her to hold the "injection" gun that is her main weapon of choice. Unfortunately, it was too much of a hassle for it to stay in place;
2. As you can see in the last two pictures, the base broke while trying to pose her.
As such, I had to do some makeshift repairs. Here, you can see some of the Tacky Glue I used to paste parts of the base together, with me eventually wrapping the broken part with duct tape later.
Anyways, next week is going to be a big one, as that's the weekend of Anime USA. As usual, expect me to take some cosplay photos while I'm there (as well as mention any purchases that I got while at the con).
