Yeah, I pretty much admit that things have been slow recently. Part of it can be contributed to the fact that my next preordered figure won't be coming out until later this month (with the next one coming out in June and most likely after the deadline for the current lottery) and my next anime convention trip not happening until the end of July. However, that doesn't mean I'm not being on the look out for already released figures (as I do check for sales on the sites that I order from and occasionally search eBay as well).
A good example of this happened last week. I don't remember the exact thing I was looking for when I was browsing the Internet, but while I was doing so, I noticed that Amazon was selling Manaka in her sorceress attire (from the To Heart 2 spin-off Final Dungeon Chronicle). By doing the math by comparing the price (plus shipping) to the usual sites that I order from, I came to to the conclusion that it was actually cheaper to order her from Amazon than from a Japanese site (thanks in part to the figure being eligible for free shipping). With this information in mind (and some money to spare), I decided to order Manaka from Amazon.
Yesterday, the figure arrived in the post, and no sooner did I open the box, it was time to take some photos of Manaka. While it was easy to take 3D pictures of her using my 3DS (too bad I don't know a site where to post these types of pictures
), the hard part was taking a regular picture, since most of the pictures I took didn't include Manaka's mouth, and taking the picture without flash would result in some details on Manaka's dress not showing up in the picture. Luckily, I was finally able to take a proper picture of Manaka (in an angle that brings out her sexy side).
Also, with Manaka arriving in the mail yesterday, my interest in playing Final Dungeon Chronicle has returned, with me finally figuring out what I need to do to get past the section that I was stuck at (it involved making sure I had enough money to afford a trip to a tea room). Hence, it looks like I'll be back at full force when it comes to playing that game.
