Black Cat is the robotic cat that is being used as a way to comunicate from it's user and the Akudamas. It sends out a mission to the Akudamas to rescue Cutthroat from his execution as a way to gather them together before having Cutthroat plant bombs onto them so they are forced to do the mission.

SpoilerIn episode 4, it is revealed that Black Cat is being controlled by a boy named Brother.
