It's been a while since I last did a blog post on a figure. This is due to me not really been busy figure hunting these past few months (as I've been out of the loop in terms of recent anime titles and there hasn't been any real "must buy" figures for me). However, things are starting to speed thanks to the release of figures based the SHAFT series Hidamari Sketch. This all started Monday, when I received in the mail a Nendoroid figure of my second-favorite girl in a SHAFT anime, Yuno (with first being Nodoka from Mahou Sensei Negima).
Like most of the figures that I buy, I took some pictures of Yuno before I put her in my display case. Starting things off is a picture of what she looks like once I take her out of the box, along with the caterpillar persona of the manga's creator (and Madoka Magica character designer), Ume Aoki.
The figure also with a neat feature in which one of the faces is purposely left blank, with the owner being able to place stickers on it to create a face similar to one of those that appears in the manga/anime. The stickers are kinda hard to peel off (especially the v-shaped eyes, which can tear apart rather easily), but I was able to actually to make a funny reaction face.
Rounding out the pictures is the main pose that I have for Yuno, one that pretty much captures the cuteness that makes her one of my favorite SHAFT anime characters.
The summer has just begun, and I definitely have a number of blog posts planned for the next few months, including one planned for next week (let's just say it pays to check the usual figure sites on a regular basis.
