Синопсис:
Воин Зеро - командующий Независимого Флота Вооруженных Сил Земли. Он потерял семью и друзей в войне между людьми и механоидами, и расстался со своим лучшим другом, Капитаном Харлоком, с которым в этой войне он дрался бок о бок. Душа Зеро была раздавлена потерей семьи и друга. У него теперь не было ни надежды, ни мечты, ни цели в жизни.Однажды Зеро получает приказ от Главнокомандующего - приказ поймать пирата, которого называют Капитаном Харлоком.
После долгих размышлений Зеро решает принять миссию. У одинокого космического воина должна быть стоящая цель, чтобы жить. Он должен найти истинный смысл своей жизни в качестве человека. Зная об отправлении Зеро, капитан Харлок ждёт своего старого друга, а теперь - сильнейшего врага, стремящегося его уничтожить. В душе он всегда знал, что однажды ему придется сразиться против своего старого друга. Что же преподнесёт Зеро бесконечная вселенная?
