Nyx Ulric is a member of the elite force known as the Kingsglaive under the command of Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII. Wielding their king's magic, Nyx and his fellow glaives stand before the crown city of Insomnia, fighting to stay the inexorable advance of Niflheim's imperial army. Nyx was saved by King Regis when he was a teenager and because of that, he feels like he owes the king. He is said to have strong ties to the royal family's magic.
