Very nice. Definitely a series relevant to my interests. ^_^
I'd say all in all, your super special edition release of Haruhi is a little more cool than what we got in the US.... Actually, on second thought I forgot something very important that came with our version that puts them about even: The CD's!

Pros on Russian version:
-All in one collection at a very reasonable price. We had to buy 4 separate Special Edition releases, the first of which alone had a suggested retail price of $65, the rest were $60 each, making the whole set retail for $245! >_<
-Very nice booklet.
-Some nice big posters.
-Stickers!!
-A few other unique bonus items.

Pros on US version:
-The CD's. After buying all four special editions you'll have the Hare Hare Yukai (ending theme), Bouken Desho Desho (opening theme), Haruhi Suzumiya Character Songs, and Haruhi No Tsumewawase (the disc with Koi no Mikuru Densetsu, God Knows, and Lost My Music). Bandai also released all these discs plus the 8 other Character Song CD's sold separately.
-The box is a little cooler.
-Pillow cases! There are two, one with volume 3 (of the three main girls in their pajamas laying on a bed) and one with volume 4 (of them in swimwear). I personally use the pajama one. ^_^
-A few other unique bonus items.

About Even:
-Both use the Noizi Ito cover art. Russian release seems to have all of the original Japanese artworks while we only have 4 of them, but I still call it a draw because we have actual DVD cases instead of the digipack thing.
-Both have pretty much the same pencil boards/mini posters, hair ribbon thing, and arm band.
-Both have the DVD order discs plus a set of original broadcast order discs. Although instead of being 4 discs long, the US release squeezes the broadcast order onto 3 discs and drops the English dub (only has Japanese with subtitles). I still call it a draw because I personally will never watch Haruhi in English so it doesn't matter to me.

So yeah. Pretty cool. It's always interesting to see how anime is released differently in different countries.

PS: Didn't you say you would rip MP3's of the Russian dub songs for me? XD

Haha, no problem. I just about forgotten too until I read your post. Can you do the opening and ending themes and then do the full concert scene in a single file? I think it'd be cool to be able to listen to that whole scene together, and I'll maybe make a cut of just God Knows out of it myself.

Yay! Thank you so much! I played them for a friend and he found it kind of creepy how well the songs worked in Russian. ^_^
Only problem is that the concert MP3 has really low volume. Probably because it actually comes from an actual episode chapter of the DVD instead of an opening/ending chapter like the others. But no biggy. I'm pretty sure I have a program on my desktop that can fix the volume level. I should have my room ready and get my desktop set up soon, maybe Monday. :)

oh, i'm totally forgot, if you wish i can amplify sound level ;)
