Well, it's that time of the week again, so let's skip the formalities and go right into our tour of the wacky world of character goods!
First up is an item that's more amusing than anything else. While they're mainly known in the figure-collecting world for their model kits, assorted mecha lines, and the popular S.H. Figuarts line, Bandai also produces a lot of other toys. One example would be the What's that, you may ask? Bath salts.
But not just any bath salts, oh no. These are special bath salts! Not only do they turn the tub water green or white and make it smell like apples or milk(?), but when they're done dissolving, they leave a figure in the water! There's Dragon Ball characters!
Pokémon!
Kamen Riders!
And... Evangelion pachinko machines?
Honestly, these things do seem pretty fun. It's like a gashapon for the tub! As much as I'd like to get a few, they currently only sell them in bulk boxes (15 or so). Although I suppose you could always import one or two with a proxy order or something. Anyway, Bandai keeps announcing new characters and licenses each month, so I could see this becoming the new Figuarts! Bath salts shall take the figure world by storm!
...I think I got a bit too excited there, so let's head on to some more high-tech developments.
Manufacturer has recently taken to making a series of licensed earphones, for those of you who think normal earphones are too boring. The Evangelion series is pretty plain-looking, though.
They come in six different palettes, but they don't really seem all that Eva-ish...
More exotic would be the Tony Tony Chopper earphones. Now you can have Chopper crawl out of your ear canal!
It emerges!
But Chopper isn't the only thing that can inhabit your ears, oh no. Just look.
OH SWEET LORD WHAT IS THAT THING
Why would anyone want this... thing... sticking its tentacles into their ears? It would probably just pipe subliminal messages into your brain. For just 1500Y, you too can join the alien invasion!
