Huh, seems that my loot posts tend to become boring :) Yeah, figurines are not the only thing I order from Japan...
I have just received the of the previous , but I already should start preparing for the next. So, my following goal is going to be level 2 (no matter, kyu or N). And here I am purchasing more student books:

I also took a couple of pictures of pages in case someone would consider buying one of the books and want to have a look.

Grammar book contains short explanations (written in Japanese, no English)...

... and exercises.

Kanji book contains cards of all kanji which are being tested on JLPT...

... and exercises (there is even a CD included, though I haven't checked it yet.

Listening books contains... what a surprise! - exercises!

Yap, exactly the same questions real tests have.
Hope, someone will make use out of it :)

Kanji, Grammar and Listening: everything a Japanese language student can dream of.

There are 4 levels, 4th is the lowest. My sensei and friend said that two months of good study are enough to pass it. I've seen some tests from level 4 and I confirm it^__^ There is furigana everywhere, you must know absolute minimum of kanjis, and grammar is simple.
In Moscow we have this test in December, once a year. You can have any level you wish, any you think you are ready to.
I'm going to have my first JLPT this year. I'll pass on level four and take level 3^__^

Ah, I didn't read the Wiki entry Glory posted close enough before. I thought the 5 level thing had already went into effect, but it looks like they're supposed to start the 5 level versions this year? Have you heard anything new about that? I know Wiki isn't always the most reliable and up to day source of information.

I've heard about changes, but didn't do any research by myself. But I will in a few months, cause I should know exactly what exam I'm going to take, ね?

I also think - if you have some basic knowledge, go and try lvl 5, really. You have to pay to participate in it, but the cost is... well, next to nothing. The exam is taken in the begining of December on the same day all over the world, but you have to find what cities in USA will carry it out. And you have to register in advance. But the test itself is fun and they will give you a diploma. Everyone will become proud of you. Cute, isn't it?

Only downside for me is that if the testing centers are in the same cities as 2009, the closest one (Los Angeles) is a 12 hour drive away from where I'll be living. And hopefully the test date won't be too close to XMas because I'll be taking care of the house (and the horses and dogs) during that time so my friends can go to England. XD

You didn't tell us about horses. Real animals? Is it a farm or something?
Will we have a picture of pluvia on a horse? :D
08 мар 2010, 12:28:28
I've actually personally never ridden a horse before, but I'm sure that will change pretty soon after I get there. Though onee-san just called me saying she may be leaving for training for a new job before I get there and won't be back for about a month if it happens. But when I eventually do get on a horse I'll have to ask someone to take pictures of me. :)
edit: Glitch found with the new link thing. When I tried to use the BB code URL, this happened....
English'>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_riding'>English style
farrier'>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farrier'>farrier
And it can get really messy when you try to edit something that has a link in it already. XP
